Job summary

Universal Investment in Kraków is expanding its team to support fund services and ManCo operations. The role focuses on middle-office tasks, settlement, and trade verification within an international team.

We seek candidates with a strong background in investment operations, fund accounting, and fluent English. Proficiency with Bloomberg and MS Excel is highly regarded; teams work on process optimization and project implementations.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in investment management operations or banking operations, preferably in Middle Office or Fund Accounting.
• University degree in economics, accounting, or finance is preferred.
• Knowledge of investment products and financial instruments (securities, loans, funds, deposits).
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel, and common information systems.

Responsibilities

• Settlement of OTC and FX transactions.
• Verify trade confirmations and handle Contract Management.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate instructions for Advisory & Outsourcing - Middle Office tasks (OTC, FX, money market).
• Manage accounting up to formation of a legal position within order matching framework.
• Support new fund projects and implementation of new products.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Settlement of OTC and foreign exchange transactions
• Verification of trade confirmation, Contract Management
• Investigation and resolution of any discrepancies
• Giving instructions for transactions in Advisory & Outsourcing - Middle Office (OTC, FX and money market)
• Accounting responsibility (up to formation of a legal position) within the framework of order matching
• Support in processing new fund projects and implementing new products;
• Cooperation in structuring, implementing and optimizing new processes;
• Participation in internal projects and working groups;
• Cooperation in the specialist and technical development of assigned tasks.

Your skills and experience:

• Several years of professional experience in the investment management company operations, banking operations – preferable within Middle Office or Fund Accounting
• University degree in economic related areas (banking, accounting, finance,
• business) would be an asset
• Knowledge of different investment products / finance instruments (securities, loans, funds, fixed deposits, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office (in particular Excel) and conventional information systems;
• Experience in working with fund accounting system and Bloomberg
• Very good knowledge of English (in writing and speaking)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Very good attention to details and ability to work toward tight deadlines
