Job summary

Hitachi Energy Services SP. Z O.O. in Krakow is seeking a Senior Payroll Expert for Global Mobility & Travel Compliance.

You will lead design of payroll processes, partner with HR and finance, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires extensive global payroll experience, knowledge of employment tax and social security, and collaboration with external providers to deliver scalable, compliant payroll solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Global Payroll Operations supporting international or cross-border employee populations.
• Strong knowledge of employment tax, social security, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience with shadow payroll and international assignment payroll administration.
• Proven experience working with outsourced payroll providers and multi-country payroll environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design global payroll processes, governance models, and control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Global Payroll subject matter expert within the Business Travel Compliance program.
• Design and implement end-to-end payroll processes supporting international travel compliance requirements.
• Develop operational models for employment tax, social security, payroll reporting, and compliance administration.
• Establish payroll standards supporting immigration, Posted Worker Directive (PWD), tax, and social security compliance.
• Define interfaces, data exchanges, and integration requirements between payroll providers and compliance solutions.
• Assess impacts across global payroll platforms, including ADP, Ramco, and local payroll providers.
• Develop governance, audit, reconciliation, and control frameworks to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Support solution design, testing, UAT activities, deployment, and transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Partner with HR Operations, Global Mobility, Tax, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to design and implement the target operating model.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while monitoring process performance and resolving complex payroll and compliance issues.
