Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Payroll Expert for Global Mobility & Travel Compliance in Kraków.

You will design and implement payroll processes for international travel, collaborating with HR, Tax, Legal, and external providers to ensure regulatory compliance and a seamless employee experience. The role requires deep Global Payroll experience across jurisdictions, knowledge of employment tax and social security, and strong stakeholder management in a large multinational setting.

Payroll Expert for Global Mobility & Travel Compliance

The Opportunity:
Hitachi Energy is launching a global Business Travel Compliance program designed to strengthen compliance across immigration, work authorization, social security, tax, payroll, and other regulatory requirements associated with international business travel. As the Payroll Expert for Global Mobility & Travel Compliance, you will play a critical role in this strategic transformation by representing Global Payroll and driving the design of future-state payroll processes and operating models. Working closely with HR, Global Mobility, Tax, Legal, Finance, HRIT, and external providers, you will help build a scalable and compliant framework supporting employees travelling across multiple jurisdictions. How You'll Make an Impact:

• Act as the Global Payroll subject matter expert within the Business Travel Compliance program.
• Design and implement end-to-end payroll processes supporting international business travel compliance requirements.
• Develop operational models for employment tax, social security, payroll reporting, and compliance administration.
• Establish payroll standards supporting immigration, Posted Worker Directive (PWD), tax, and social security compliance.
• Define interfaces, data exchanges, and integration requirements between payroll providers and compliance solutions.
• Assess impacts across global payroll platforms, including ADP, Ramco, and local payroll providers.
• Develop governance, audit, reconciliation, and control frameworks to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Support solution design, testing, UAT activities, deployment, and transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Partner with HR Operations, Global Mobility, Tax, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to design and implement the target operating model.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives while monitoring process performance and resolving complex payroll and compliance issues.

Your Background:

• Significant experience in Global Payroll Operations supporting international or cross-border employee populations.
• Strong knowledge of employment tax, social security, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience with shadow payroll and international assignment payroll administration.
• Proven experience working with outsourced payroll providers and multi-country payroll environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design global payroll processes, governance models, and control frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project delivery skills in complex global organizations.
• Experience with Global Mobility, Business Travel Compliance programs, or international assignment services is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Workday, global HR systems, and large-scale HR, Payroll, or Compliance transformation programs is an advantage.
