Job summary

Andersen is seeking a Lead Python Developer in the EU to drive the architecture of a modular GRC SaaS platform. You will guide backend and frontend collaboration and own complex migrations while ensuring robust testing through contract and integration tests.

You will lead technical design decisions, prototyping, and client coordination, with emphasis on Python/Django DRF and JavaScript/React stacks. English proficiency (B2) is required for seamless collaboration across borders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend leadership experience.
• Strong Python/Django/DRF background.
• Experience with JavaScript/React.
• Experience in complex relational data modeling.
• Knowledge of permissions/RBAC and object-level visibility.
• Strong architectural judgment.
• Experience with pytest and contract/integration tests.
• English level: B2.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for the schema-driven application layer in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Drive the concept phase with prototyping, validation, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
• Act as the primary technical contact for the client, coordinating tasks, leading demos, and representing the team.
• Review work of Backend and Full-Stack Engineers and ensure architectural consistency across modules and boundaries.
• Lead and deliver the most complex full-aggregate module migrations.
• Define and drive the contract-testing strategy using golden fixtures, ensuring backward compatibility with the legacy REST API.
