Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to shape the future of our cloud data ecosystem in Kraków. You will build, maintain, and optimize data platforms across AWS and GCP, enabling scalable, secure, and cost-aware data solutions for the business.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Analysts to deliver reliable infrastructure, implement CI/CD, IaC, and governance, and improve observability with Grafana and CloudWatch while upholding high engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong infrastructure and platform engineering with cloud tech like AWS and GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data tools such as Airflow and dbt.
• Experience with data security and access management.
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and CloudWatch.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Polish; willingness to reside in Poland.
• Comfortable with CI/CD, IaC, and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
• Enhance the platform with new features, improved observability, and automation.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-driven deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts to support the MLOps Platform.
• Manage IAM, storage, monitoring, and cost controls.
• Design secure, compliant data infrastructure solutions.
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and efficiency across clouds.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities meeting needs.
• Contribute to engineering practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and governance.
