Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to shape the data ecosystem. You will build, maintain, and enhance our cloud-based data platform across AWS and GCP, enabling scalable, secure data solutions for the wider business.

You will work at the intersection of engineering, data, and infrastructure, collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to deliver a platform that supports current and future data needs, while upholding CI/CD and governance standards.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong infra and platform engineering with cloud technologies (AWS/GCP).
• Experience with BigQuery security, performance, and cost management.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data tools like Airflow and dbt.
• Knowledge of data security, IAM, and access management.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Polish; Poland residency required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Data Platform infra across AWS and GCP, including data lakes/warehouses, orchestration, and observability.
• Improve platform features, monitoring, automation, and CI/CD-driven deployments.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to support MLOps and data needs.
• Manage data estate, IAM policies, storage, and cost controls; ensure secure, compliant infra.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable data infrastructure with strong governance.
