Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to shape the data ecosystem across AWS and GCP, building scalable, secure data solutions for the business. You will work at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and data, partnering with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver a platform that supports current and future data needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Engineering or Data Platform roles.
• Hands-on with AWS and GCP data platforms; strong BigQuery.
• Proficient in Python and modern data tools (Airflow, dbt).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including data lakes, data warehouses, orchestration, and observability components.
• Enhance the platform by introducing new features and services, improving monitoring and observability, and automating common operational tasks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-driven deployment processes to improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to support and evolve the MLOps Platform.
• Manage and optimize the data estate, including IAM and access policies, storage management, platform monitoring, and cost control.
• Design and implement secure, compliant, and user-friendly data infrastructure solutions.
• Continuously improve platform performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency across cloud environments.
• Work with stakeholders across and beyond the data organization to understand requirements and deliver platform capabilities that meet their needs.
• Contribute to and uphold strong engineering practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and established data governance standards.
