Sii Poland is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to shape and scale our cloud-based data platform across AWS and GCP. You will build data lakes and warehouses, implement orchestration and observability, and collaborate with Data Engineers, Scientists, and Analysts to enable data-driven decisions.

You will drive secure, cost-efficient data infrastructure, improve monitoring, and automate deployments while aligning with governance standards and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong DevOps practices and cloud technologies (AWS/GCP).
• Expertise with BigQuery security, performance and cost management.
• Experience with AWS data lake architectures (Athena, S3, Glue).
• Python and modern data tech (Airflow, dbt).
• Security and access management for data platforms.
• Observability and monitoring solutions (Grafana, CloudWatch).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Fluent English and Polish; Poland residency required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Data Platform infrastructure across AWS and GCP (data lakes, data warehouses, orchestration, observability).
• Enhance platform with new features, improve monitoring, automate operational tasks.
• Develop CI/CD driven deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts to support MLOps platform.
• Manage data estate, IAM, storage, monitoring, and cost control.
• Design secure, compliant data infrastructure solutions.
• Improve performance, security, and operational efficiency across cloud environments.
• Work with stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities meeting needs.
• Uphold engineering practices: code reviews, CI/CD, IaC, governance.
