Job summary

Sii Ukraїna TOV is seeking a senior data engineer to join the Data & Analytics Competency Center. You will design scalable data platforms (Data Lake/Data Warehouse), build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate with analytics and science teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Requirements include 4+ years in large-scale data processing, strong SQL/Python, and Azure cloud experience (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake/Data Platform architecture.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources.
• Model data and prepare structures for analytics and business needs.

• Monitor, optimize, and enhance existing data pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams and Data Science for data provisioning.
• Gather business requirements and propose optimal tech solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices.

Do you want to develop your skills in cloud technologies? Join our specialized unit of experts in data processing and analysis within the Data & Analytics Competency Center. We also offer development opportunities in Data Science, Big Data, and Machine Learning.

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and process it in Azure Databricks environment
• Data modeling and preparing data structures tailored to analytical and business needs
• Implementing data processing solutions (batch and/or near real-time)
• Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and data processing workflows
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to prepare and provide data
• Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal technological solutions
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects related to processing and integrating large volumes of data
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark
• Practical experience in designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration and integration tools
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
