Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics Competency Center in Szczecin. You will design scalable data platforms, build ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, and model data for analytical needs.

You will collaborate with data analysts, BI, and Data Science teams, gather requirements, and document solutions while mentoring junior teammates. Fluency in English and Polish is required in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in data processing and integration projects.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python required.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark in data processing.
• Designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration tools.
• Commercial experience with Microsoft Azure cloud data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
• Fluency in English and Polish.

Do you want to develop your skills in cloud technologies? Join our specialized unit of experts in data processing and analysis within the Data & Analytics Competency Center. We also offer development opportunities in Data Science, Big Data, and Machine Learning.

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and process it in Azure Databricks environment
• Data modeling and preparing data structures tailored to analytical and business needs
• Implementing data processing solutions (batch and/or near real-time)
• Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and data processing workflows
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to prepare and provide data
• Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal technological solutions
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects related to processing and integrating large volumes of data
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark
• Practical experience in designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration and integration tools
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
