Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled data engineer to design, build, and run scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake/Data Platform architectures. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources and process it in Azure Databricks.

Responsibilities include data modeling, near real-time processing, pipeline optimization, and collaboration with analytics, BI, and Data Science teams to deliver valuable data. You will mentor colleagues and document technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects processing and integrating large data volumes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration tools.
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization.
• Fluent English communication.
• Polish language proficiency required.
• Must be located in Poland.

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and process it in Azure Databricks environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
