Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data & Analytics professional to design, build, and maintain scalable data processing platforms within our Data Lake/Data Platform architecture. You will develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, model data for analytics, and enable near real-time data processing.

You will collaborate with data analysts, BI, and Data Science teams, gather requirements, and document solutions while mentoring teammates and sharing best practices across the unit.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in processing and integrating large data sets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with Spark / PySpark.
• Designing Data Lake / Data Warehouse solutions.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and using data orchestration tools.
• Hands-on with Azure cloud data processing projects (Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Fabric).
• Fluent English and Polish.
• Must be located in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Model data and tailor structures for analytics and business needs.

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and process it in Azure Databricks environment
• Data modeling and preparing data structures tailored to analytical and business needs
• Implementing data processing solutions (batch and/or near real-time)
• Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and data processing workflows
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to prepare and provide data
• Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal technological solutions
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects related to processing and integrating large volumes of data
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark
• Practical experience in designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration and integration tools
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
