Job summary

Sii Poland is looking for a Data & Analytics professional to join our Data & Analytics Competency Center. You will design scalable data platforms, build ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks, and model data for analytics.

You will work with SQL, Python, Spark, and Azure data services, collaborating with data analysts, BI and Data Science teams. This role requires Polish and English fluency and is based in Poland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in processing and integrating large data volumes.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Commercial experience with Azure cloud data processing projects (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric).
• Fluent English and Polish; based in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and developing scalable data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture.
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources in Azure Databricks.
• Data modeling and preparing data structures tailored to analytical needs.
• Implementing data processing solutions (batch and near real-time).
• Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to prepare data.
• Gathering business requirements and proposing technological solutions.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for developed solutions.
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.

Your tasks

• Designing, building, and developing scalable and high-performance data processing platforms in Data Lake / Data Platform architecture
• Creating and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from various sources and process it in Azure Databricks environment
• Data modeling and preparing data structures tailored to analytical and business needs
• Implementing data processing solutions (batch and/or near real-time)
• Monitoring, optimizing, and developing existing pipelines and data processing workflows
• Collaborating with data analysts, BI teams, and Data Science teams to prepare and provide data
• Gathering business requirements and proposing optimal technological solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in projects related to processing and integrating large volumes of data
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark / PySpark
• Practical experience in designing and building Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions
• Ability to build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and work with data orchestration and integration tools
• Commercial experience in Microsoft Azure cloud-based data processing projects (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric)
• Knowledge of data processing concepts in distributed environments and pipeline optimization
• Fluent communication skills in English
• Fluent Polish language proficiency required
• Must be located in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience in data migration projects from on-premise to cloud (databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
