Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AR Collection Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team. You will own collection activities for assigned customers and markets, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve payment issues, support process improvements, and help the team achieve its goals in a dynamic international environment. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Control, or a similar finance-related role.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken. (min B2/C1)
• BSc. Degree is a must
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable and collection processes.
• Experience with MS Office and business systems supporting finance and customer account management.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection activities for an assigned portfolio of customers.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and resolve payment delays.
• Investigate and resolve billing, payment, and account-related issues.
• Monitor aging reports to identify risks and attention areas.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve collections and customer experience.
• Support process improvement initiatives and share knowledge with the team.

About the Role

We are looking for an AR Collection Specialist to join our Accounts Receivable team. In this role, you will take ownership of collection activities for assigned customers and markets, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.

You will work closely with Finance, Customer Service, and Sales teams to resolve payment-related issues, support process improvements, and help the team achieve its goals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and taking initiative in a dynamic international environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection activities for an assigned portfolio of customers.
• Follow up on overdue invoices and work with customers to resolve payment delays.
• Investigate and resolve billing, payment, and account-related issues.
• Monitor customer accounts and aging reports to identify risks and areas requiring attention.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to support effective collections and improve customer experience.
• Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
• Share knowledge and expertise with team members, including support for onboarding and training activities when needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Credit Control, or a similar finance-related role.
