Job summary

You will manage client payrolls end to end across weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly cycles, and handle RTI submissions and year-end requirements.

Experience with statutory payments and pension submissions is valued, as is familiarity with Xero or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Experience in full payroll cycle, including RTI submissions and year-end processes.
• Experience with statutory payments and pension submissions.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and current payroll software.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
• Interest in broader accounting skills; familiarity with VAT helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage client payrolls end to end across weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly frequencies.
• Process RTI submissions, PAYE liabilities, statutory payments, and year-end payroll requirements accurately.
• Produce payslips, payroll reports, and journals, and answer client payroll queries.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure HMRC compliance and current legislation.
• Assist with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations as part of accounts training.
• Support VAT returns and year-end accounts for various client structures.
• Develop experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Progressively develop broader accounting skills through training to become a well-rounded practice all-rounder.
