Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a meticulous payroll administrator to join our finance team. You will collate payroll information for multiple employers and process cycles ranging from weekly to annual, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will manage your own portfolio of UK payroll clients, liaise with HMRC, handle statutory payments, and maintain pension deductions, starters and leavers with correct forms. Strong organisational skills are essential to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Payroll duties: collating information for multiple employers and processing cycles (weekly, biweekly, monthly or annual).
• Managing own portfolio of UK payroll clients end-to-end including pension schemes.
• Calculating and inputting payroll data to meet tight deadlines.
• Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs.
• Calculating statutory payments (SSP, SMP) and other payments.
• Liaising with managers and team members on payroll queries and reporting.
• Adding new starters and recording leavers with appropriate forms.
• Handling pension deductions and payments in line with the pension scheme.
• Recording and monitoring holidays and keeping diaries up to date.
• Maintaining files, records and department databases.
• Dealing with ad hoc queries.
• Completing spreadsheets/Word tasks for analysis and team development.
• Supporting organisational tasks to assist the manager and team.
