Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Karachi seeks an Ocean Freight Executive to manage day-to-day Import shipments and operational activities. You will develop relationships with existing customers and coordinate with teams to provide updates and ensure timely responses.

The role requires 2–4 years of import documentation and operational experience in freight forwarding, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. CW1 knowledge is a plus and opportunity to contribute to service improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of import documentation and import operational experience in freight forwarding or shipping.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of CW1 will be a plus.
• Ability to develop customer relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships with existing customers.
• Coordinate and liaise with key personnel in other functional areas to provide updates & status to customers.
• Well-versed on Import Documentation.
• Must have good knowledge of consolidation / de-consolidation.
• Must have good knowledge of manifestation & self-manifestation in Weboc/psw.
• Must have knowledge of issuance / arrangement of delivery orders / endorsement.
• Good knowledge of preparation of invoices.
• Collaborate with team to develop or enhance procedures to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Work with team on reviewing and analyzing complaints, handling receivable & Payable.
• Ensure all customer inquiries are responded promptly & professionally.
• Knowledge of CW1 will be a plus.
