Job summary

Acom Corp is seeking aMid-Level System & Network Engineer to join our team in Karachi. You will manage and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN infrastructure, configure switches/routers/firewalls, and ensure network security across Windows and Linux servers.

The role requires hands-on expertise with virtualization, DNS/DHCP, AD, and ongoing system administration. Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN/WLAN and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience configuring switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• CCNA/CCNP or similar certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN and enterprise network infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Manage VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routing and network security.
• Configure and maintain Windows/Linux servers.
• Perform system administration, user management and access control.
• Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Manage backups, storage and server infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPNs and firewall policies.
• Perform hardware/software troubleshooting and IT infrastructure support.
• Maintain network diagrams, documentation and configuration records.
• Participate in network/system deployments, upgrades and infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN and enterprise network infrastructure
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points
• Manage VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routing and network security
• Configure and maintain Windows/Linux servers

• Experience with Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V
• Knowledge of server hardware, RAID and storage
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Good understanding of enterprise Wi‑Fi and network infrastructure
• Ability to work independently and handle infrastructure‑related incidents

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA / CCNP
• Microsoft certifications
• Any relevant System or Network Security certification
