Sundaram Finance Limited is seeking a Branch Manager with 2-8 years of experience to lead SME banking initiatives and drive business development at the regional level.

The role emphasizes networking with SME associations, manufacturers, and dealers, along with diligent risk assessment, balance sheet analysis, and timely documentation to support branch performance.

Qualifications

• 2-8 years of experience in SME banking or related finance roles.
• Graduate degree or MBA in finance/marketing as stated.
• Strong networking with SME associations and machinery suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop networking with SME industry associations and machinery manufacturers & dealers.
• Meet prospective clients for business development and lead generation.
• Drive SME lead generation and liaison with branch channel for approvals.
• Understand client business models and assess risks and mitigants.
• Review balance sheet/P&L and financial ratios.
• Prepare Basic Information Report (BIR) with KYC and industry information for Risk Analyst.
• Monitor collections on cases underwritten and ensure timely post-disbursal documentation.
• Ensure exceptions are addressed and post-disbursal documents are collected on time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The incumbent would be responsible for :

• Good“networking / acquaintance / name recall” with SME Industry Associations
• Goodnetworking skills with Machinery Manufacturers & Dealers
• Meetingup prospective clients along for business development
• Focuson lead generation of SME business in the important Knowledge Segmentswhere SFL had developed an expertise.
• Abilityto Liaise / motivate the SFL Branch Channel for Lead Generation
• Interactingwith the clients to understand the business model and evaluate the risksand mitigants
• Goodunderstanding of Balance Sheet /P&L. Ability tounderstand financial ratios.
• Preparethe Basic Information Report (BIR) with utmost Quality, capturing allpertinent/relevant information / KYC information /Industry informationabout the client and submit to Risk Analyst.
• Ensuremonitoring of collections for the cases they had under-written
• Ensureexceptions are managed and perfected well on time.
• Ensurethat Post Disbursal Documents are collected and complied well on time.
