Job summary

Edge Services & Solutions is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to oversee day-to-day IT performance, reliability, and security. The role focuses on uptime, optimization, and hands-on support to empower teams across the organization.

You will manage servers, cloud services, networks, and security while maintaining documentation and collaborating with vendors. A strong background in IT operations and careful data handling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years of IT operations, system administration, or network management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Mac server environments, cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and networking protocols.
• Experience with ITSM tools, endpoint management, and security frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail in handling sensitive data and systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain IT systems, servers, VPNs and network infrastructure for performance and availability.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions across apps and devices.
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups for data integrity and resilience.
• Proficiency in asset tracking software (Atlassian, Asset Tiger, Company Directory).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; escalate when needed.
• Ensure cybersecurity and data protection policy compliance; implement security protocols.
• Support onboarding/offboarding, device setup, and access provisioning.
• Document IT processes, assets, and incident logs for transparency.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure smooth IT services and contracts.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve IT workflows.
