Job summary

BackTech is seeking an IT Operations & Systems Administrator to manage and support the complete IT environment for 90+ employees. You will oversee Microsoft 365, Entra ID, VPN connectivity, CRM systems, hardware, CCTV, and IT inventory, while driving security and reliability across the organization.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Windows environments, AD/Entra ID, network troubleshooting, and cybersecurity, with a focus on proactive problem-solving and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in IT Administration, Systems/Network Operations.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT operations and provide support for 90+ users.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, email security, Teams, SharePoint.
• Manage VPN, firewalls, switches, wifi networks, and internet infra.
• Configure desktops, laptops, printers, and office hardware.
• Oversee CRM access, integrations, and user management.
• Handle onboarding/offboarding, device provisioning, and accounts.
• Monitor CCTV and office security infrastructure.
• Track IT assets, licenses, warranties, and procurement.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, backups, and endpoint protection.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues to minimize downtime.
• Create IT documentation, SOPs, and system records.
• Coordinate with department heads for requirements and solutions.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Ensure IT systems remain secure and up to date.

About the Role

BackTech is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Operations & Systems Administrator to manage and support our complete IT environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, infrastructure, security, and end-user support across the organization.

The ideal candidate will oversee Microsoft 365 administration, network infrastructure, VPN connectivity, CRM systems, hardware management, CCTV systems, IT inventory, and technical support for 90+ employees

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day IT operations and provide technical support for 90+ employees.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, including user accounts, Entra ID (Azure AD), email security, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Manage VPN connectivity, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and internet infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and office hardware.
• Oversee CRM systems, user access permissions, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning and device setup.
• Monitor and maintain CCTV systems and office security infrastructure.
• Track and manage IT assets, inventory, software licenses, warranties, and procurement.
• Implement cybersecurity best practices, antivirus solutions, endpoint protection, and backup procedures.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues while minimizing downtime.
• Create and maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures, and system records.
• Coordinate with department heads to understand technical requirements and recommend solutions.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
• Ensure all IT systems remain secure, efficient, and up to date.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration.
• Experience managing Windows environments and Active Directory/Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, network troubleshooting, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with CRM administration and user management.
• Experience with CCTV systems, access control systems, and office infrastructure.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, backups, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
