Job summary

AltRider, LLC, a US motorcycle accessories company based in Seattle, is seeking a planning-focused professional to prevent stockouts and manage over 400 SKUs. You will decide what to order, when, and chase every open commitment until it lands.

This is a planning, tracking and follow-through role: you will run weekly reorder reviews, verify open orders, issue POs, chase dates, track shipments, and reconcile inventory across systems to keep leadership informed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in purchasing, supply chain, inventory planning or merchandise planning.
• Strong Google Sheet skills and comfort building your own lookups, pivots, and reports.
• Proven follow-up discipline and ability to chase commitments to closure.
• Willing to make decisive calls when lead times demand action.
• Clear written English for supplier and internal communication.
• Comfortable writing to suppliers when needed to address issues.

Responsibilities

• Run a weekly reorder review: manage a purchasing dashboard and decide what to order.
• Check factory open orders before raising new ones.
• Issue purchase orders with quantity, price, drawings and packaging.
• Chase order acknowledgements and dates until a firm landing date.
• Maintain a project tracker with PO, dates, quantities and shipments.
• Track shipments in transit and publish weekly arrival updates.
• Produce a weekly stockout report with backorders and forecasts.
• Reconcile inventory between systems and EU warehouse and explain variances.
• Recommend air freight when stockouts are costlier than shipping.
• Escalate with suppliers when there is no response.
