Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the long-term strategy for the Gold Loan business.
• Drive AUM growth, disbursements, customer acquisition and market penetration.
• Identify new business opportunities and expansion markets.
• Formulate annual operating plans and growth roadmaps.
• Build a scalable and profitable Gold Loan franchise across geographies.
• Monitor market dynamics, competition and emerging business opportunities.
• Manage complete Profit & Loss responsibility for the Gold Loan vertical.
• Achieve targets relating to: AUM, Revenue, Profitability, Yield, Cost-to-Income Ratio, ROA and ROE.
• Optimize branch productivity and business economics.
• Ensure sustainable business growth with healthy margins.
• Design and execute customer acquisition strategies.
• Develop sourcing channels and partnerships.
• Drive repeat business and customer retention.
• Establish sales productivity benchmarks across locations.
• Ensure achievement of business targets across regions.
• Develop innovative Gold Loan products and schemes.
• Recommend pricing strategies based on market conditions.
• Strengthen customer value proposition.
• Drive digital lending initiatives and process automation.
• Enhance competitive positioning in the Gold Loan market.
• Monitor delinquencies, overdue trends, NPA levels, collection efficiency.
• Ensure robust gold appraisal and valuation standards.
• Drive fraud prevention and risk mitigation measures. Establish strong early warning systems and portfolio monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure adherence to gold custody and storage protocols.
• Strengthen branch-level security controls.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit observations.
• Review vault management and reconciliation processes.
• Minimize operational and fraud risks.
• Develop collections strategy across the portfolio.
• Monitor collection efficiency and recovery performance.
• Oversee auction processes in line with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Ensure timely disposal of overdue accounts through approved mechanisms.
• Maintain auction governance and customer communication standards.
• Improve operational efficiency and turnaround time.
• Standardize processes across branches.
• Drive digital and workflow automation initiatives.
• Ensure flawless execution of business processes.
• Monitor customer service standards and grievance resolution.
• Ensure compliance with RBI Regulations, Fair Practice Code, KYC/AML Guidelines, Internal Policies, Audit Requirements.
• Liaise with Risk, Compliance, Audit and Legal teams.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Build and lead a high-performing Gold Loan team.
• Drive employee productivity and capability building.
• Institutionalize performance management systems.
• Foster a culture of accountability and customer-centricity.
• Work closely with MD/CEO, Business Heads, Risk Team, Operations Team, Finance Team, Compliance Team, HR Team.
• Present business performance and strategic initiatives to senior leadership. Represent the organization in industry forums and market interactions.
