Job summary

Prime System Solutions seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for Canadian and US entities, ensuring accurate calculations, deductions, and compliance with federal and state regulations. The role involves collaboration with HR to maintain data integrity and respond to payroll inquiries.

The candidate will handle bi-weekly and off-cycle payments, maintain payroll records, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience with Paylocity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and commission payroll processing.
• Ensure payroll tax withholding complies with state and federal laws.
• Oversee time and attendance and timesheet administration.
• Collaborate with HR on benefits and special compensation payments.
• Maintain payroll calendars, procedures and processes.
• Handle payroll data entry including salaries, deductions, taxes, and leave.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and provide accurate information.
