Job summary

Design Centric is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive (Upwork Bidder) to generate new business through Upwork. The role involves identifying opportunities, writing winning proposals, and converting leads into long-term clients for our creative services.

Based on site, you will bid on projects, manage client communications, and collaborate with the design team to align proposals with capabilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of Upwork bidding or business development experience (agency preferred).
• Strong written English and communication skills.
• Experience in a design/creative agency helps.
• Ability to translate client requirements into proposals.
• Self-driven with ability to meet monthly targets.
• Familiarity with design/branding services offered by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Actively bid on relevant Upwork projects.
• Write compelling, customized proposals for each project.
• Communicate with potential clients to understand requirements.
• Negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Maintain and grow the Upwork profile (ratings, portfolio, job success score).

About the Role

Design Centric is looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive to generate new business through Upwork. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, writing winning proposals, and converting leads into long-term clients for our creative/design services.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively bid on relevant projects on Upwork
• Write compelling, customized proposals for each project
• Communicate with potential clients to understand their requirements
• Negotiate project scope, timelines, and budgets
• Maintain and grow the company's Upwork profile (ratings, portfolio, job success score)
• Follow up with leads and convert them into signed clients
• Coordinate with the creative team to align proposals with what the agency can realistically deliver
• Track and report on bidding performance, win rate, and pipeline status
• Stay updated on Upwork algorithm changes, connects strategy, and market trends

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in Upwork bidding / business development (agency experience preferred)
• Strong written English and communication skills
• Experience in a design/creative agency setup is a plus
• Ability to understand client requirements and translate them into proposals
• Comfortable working independently and hitting monthly targets
• Basic understanding of design/branding services offered by the agency
