Job summary

Get Books (SMC-Pvt) Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager, Operations to drive scalable ERP-driven workflows as we grow toward COO‑level operations. You will own core modules, coordinate across marketplaces, stores, and B2B channels.

You will lead Odoo module integration, manage OMS and payment operations, onboard vendors, and support franchise stores while building repeatable processes for future growth. Join at the inflection point as a founder-run operation transitions into a systemized

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in operations, project coordination, or similar hands-on work
• Hands-on with ERP/CRM systems, especially Odoo
• Comfortable working across marketplace, retail, and B2B lines
• Strong written communication and attention to detail

Title: Assistant Manager, Operations — Path to COO

Compensation Plan

Probationary Period (First 3 Months)

• Base Salary: Rs 45,000 – 65,000 per month
• Performance Commission: An additional 8% – 10% of net revenue directly attributable to your performance

Post-Probation (Upon Successful Completion)

• Base Salary: Rs 60,000 – 100,000 per month (determined by progress and performance reviews)
• Performance Commission: Continued or performance-scaled commission structure on net revenue generated
• Equity / ESOP: Eligibility for Employee Stock Option Plans (ESOP) based on long-term value creation and milestone achievements

Senior-Level Consideration

About Get Books

Get Books is a book marketplace and publishing platform moving out of its early MVP stage — real vendors, libraries, and institutions are already coming to us, and our first franchise store is opening at NSTP, NUST. We need someone who can help turn our current manual, founder-run processes into properly configured, scalable systems — with a genuine path to running operations at a COO level as both you and the company grow into that.

What you'll own

• Marketplace module integration and OMS setup — evaluate, implement, and configure a third‑party multi‑vendor marketplace module inside Odoo, along with the full Order Management System needed to route, track, and fulfill orders across many sellers at once.
• ERP configuration and ownership — configure and maintain Odoo across the marketplace, franchise and bookstore operations (POS, inventory), and our B2B library and digital solutions lines. You become our internal Odoo expert, not just a user of it.
• Vendor and seller onboarding — manage the full pipeline from application through verification, demo, and payment confirmation.
• Payment operations — oversee our current manual bank‑transfer verification process, and help lead the transition to automated payment processing as our banking integration goes live.
• Franchise and store support — help onboard and train new franchisees on POS systems and store operations.
• Process maturity — turn today's manual workarounds into documented, repeatable systems as we scale past MVP.

What we're looking for

• Tech‑savvy and hands‑on with ERP/CRM systems — Odoo experience is a strong plus, especially any exposure to module installation or marketplace‑style configurations
• 1–3 years in operations, project coordination, or similar hands‑on work — genuine hands‑on technical exposure matters more to us than years on paper
• Comfortable working across multiple business lines at once — marketplace, retail, and B2B
• Strong written communication and genuinely detail‑oriented
• A real interest in growing into a leadership role over time
