Warranty Administrator (Onsite)
Job Description:
- Process warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor.
- Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation.
- Verify criteria required by factory or distributor.
- Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
- Post credits on computer.
- Resubmit all rejected claims promptly or receive authorization to write them off.
- Follow up on payment of outstanding claims.
- Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of.
- Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped.
- File and maintain all service records as required by the warrantor.
- Keep informed of all factory recalls and bulletins.
- Assist with body shop warranty claims as needed.
- Assist with the cashier and telephone duties as needed.
- Assist with any clerical needs as directed by the fixed Operations Manager or the Controller.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in automotive warranty administration, warranty claims processing, or dealership service administration.
- Ability to read, interpret, and write simple to complex documents (instructions, memos, reports, manuals, and regulations).
- Basic to advanced mathematical skills including calculations, percentages, ratios, rates, and data interpretation.
- Ability to perform problem-solving using common sense across simple to moderately complex standardized situations.
- Ability to follow and apply written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for customers, employees, and group settings.
