Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Voice Engineer to ensure all network voice devices and facilities at the data center are available and properly supported.

The role entails configuring voice devices, managing deployments and upgrades, and enforcing incident documentation and remediation procedures. You will escalate issues to providers and related units, support voice-related projects, maintain device inventories, and generate capacity reports while keeping abreast of new voice

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Telephony/Voice technology and PABX; knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers and switches.

Responsibilities

• Perform voice device maintenance ensuring SLA standards.
• Configure network voice devices per standards.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades and support of voice devices (PABX, call management, etc.).
• Escalate voice-related issues to service providers and other support units.
• Update users and management on major voice-related incidents.
• Support projects requiring voice network expertise.
• Maintain and update inventory of voice devices.
• Monitor utilization and prepare capacity reports.
• Prepare documentation and propose solutions to recurring problems.
• Design, implement and document voice infrastructure.
• Handle problems during and beyond office hours.
• Stay current with new voice technologies and advise on implementations.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams.
