Job summary

BDO Unibank, Inc. is seeking a Voice Engineer to ensure availability of all network voice devices and facilities at the data center, with contingency procedures functioning.

You will diagnose and restore voice-related problems to meet team goals and business expectations. You will configure, deploy, monitor, maintain, and upgrade voice infrastructure including PABX systems, voice loggers, call management and related components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years related work experience.
• Proficient in Telephony/Voice technology, PABX, LAN/WAN, routers, switches and networking devices.
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.

Responsibilities

• Perform voice preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in line with quality and SLA standards.
• Configure voice devices based on set network voice standards.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of voice network devices including PABX systems, voice loggers, call management and related components.
• Escalate network voice-related concerns to service providers, vendors, and other support units.
• Update users and management on major voice-related incidents.
• Support projects requiring voice network hardware.
• Maintain and update inventory of installed voice devices.
• Monitor utilization of critical voice devices and prepare capacity reports.
• Prepare documentation and propose solutions to recurring problems.
• Design, propose, implement and document network voice infrastructure.
• Manage problems during and beyond regular office hours.
• Keep current with latest technologies for suitable solutions.

Job Summary

The Voice Engineer is responsible for making every effort that all network voice devices and facilities at data center are available, and the available recovery or contingency procedures are functioning. Tasked to perform problem isolation, diagnosis and restoration of network voice-related problems to achieve the team's performancegoals and attain SLS with business users. Strive to properly document incidents and escalate them to the immediate supervisor orappropriate unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned voice preventive and corrective maintenance tasks while complying with unit's quality and service level standards.
• Configure network voice devices based on set network voice standards.
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of voice network devices --inclu-ding PABX systems, voice loggers, call management, call accounting and other adjuncts & related components.
• Escalate network voice-related concerns to service providers, vendors, and other support units.
• Update users and management of major network voice-related incidents.
• Support projects that have requirements for voice network or hardware for voice network infrastructure.
• Maintain and update inventory of installed network voice devices
• Monitor utilization of critical network voice devices and prepare reports for capacity planning.
• Prepare documentation and propose solutions to recurring problems.
• Design, propose, implement and document network voice infrastructure.
• Manage problems during and beyond regular office hours.
• Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements
• Provide technical guidance to project teams or other business units
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned from time-to-time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or any other courses relevant to the role.
• At least 3 years related work experience
• Proficient in Telephony/Voice technology, PABX, knowledge in Local/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN), routers, switches and networking devices
• Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas
