VG SUPPLY CHAIN, INC. seeks a Transport Supervisor to oversee site operations, manage revenue and costs, and ensure KPI achievement. The role involves coordinating fleet capacity, sourcing units, and aligning deliveries with schedules.
You will work with Route Planners and 3PL partners, assess transport modes for offshore accounts, and lead monthly KPI reviews. Strong Excel/Office skills and willingness to be deployed nationwide are essential.
To oversee the overall operations of each site, managing revenue and costs while ensuring the achievement of both internal and external KPIs. We are dedicated to initiating the continuous development and improvement of operations to enhance performance and drive sustainable growth.
Conducts delivery capacity assessment versus the truck requirements needed based on the route and distribution plan
Facilitates immediate sourcing of units to augment the existing pool and further support the requirements for the day
In the event of fleet shortage versus demand, immediately collaborates either with Route Planners and/or Principal’s Point Person to resolve imminent transportation issues by looking into other viable plans and work-arounds without compromising customer’s expectation
Ensures that the fleet deployment is aligned with the planned delivery schedules
Exercise due diligence in determining the mode of transport it may opt to utilize in the delivering items to offshore (VISMIN) account yet mindful of the cost impact it will incur. Depending on the need and urgency, it would be the best judgment call of the Transport Supervisor to either use RORO, thru vessel or via Air.
Makes sure that the 3rd Party Contractor is compliant to set rules of engagement and is operating in accordance with the agreed KPIs.
Conducts and Leads in the monthly KPI reviews with the of 3rd Party Logistics Service Provider.
Maintains a proactive and healthy business relationship with 3PL Management in ensuring a seamless, effective and efficient execution of transport plan.
Checks with Transport Coordinator on the % attendance of the 3PL accredited units
Recommends appropriate action plans for issues and concerns encountered in the actual operation.
Discusses with 3PL Management any penalties to be imposed on contractor based on Service Contract Agreement.
Discusses with 3PL Management concerning units assessed with having safety issues and sets timelines for the immediate and complete operational upkeep and road worthiness of the said unit(s)
Graduate of any four-year course
With at least 1-2 years’ experience and exposure to inbound and outbound Logistics Operations, Distribution, and planning
Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
Has good communication skills for both English and Filipino
Ability to propose system enhancements based on business need and to translate conceptual framework of business models into workable algorithms.
Actively collaborates with the cross functional group to support company order fill rate goals, volume and value targets to generate high service level and satisfaction
Understands business process involving his/her role mandate and the immediate impact it will cause in the total end-to-end business chain
Takes initiative, innovative, hardworking, and possesses strong leadership qualities
Willing to be assigned anywhere in the country
