Job summary

City of General Trias Doctor Medical Center is seeking a Training Officer to lead training needs analysis, develop annual training plans, and coordinate development activities across departments in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and gap identification.
  • Experience developing and implementing training programs in healthcare is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis to identify organizational and individual training needs.
  • Develop and implement annual and department training programs.
  • Coordinate with department heads to determine training and competency needs.
  • Plan and facilitate in-house training, seminars, and workshops.
  • Coordinate with internal and external trainers and providers.
  • Prepare training calendars, materials, attendance sheets, and evaluation forms.
  • Monitor participation and evaluate post-training effectiveness.
  • Maintain training records, certificates, and competency documentation.
  • Prepare regular training reports with attendance and completion metrics.

About the role

A Training Officer responsible for conducting Training Needs Analysis, developing and implementing training programs, and coordinating employee development activities to support organizational goals and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct and coordinate Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify organizational, departmental, and individual training needs
  • Develop and implement annual and departmental training programs based on identified competency and development gaps
  • Coordinate with department heads and supervisors to determine required training, skills development, and employee competency needs
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate in-house training, seminars, workshops, orientations, and employee development programs
  • Coordinate with internal and external trainers, speakers, consultants, and training providers
  • Prepare training calendars, invitations, training materials, presentations, attendance sheets, evaluation forms, and other necessary documents
  • Monitor employee participation and completion of required and mandatory training programsAdminister and evaluate post-training evaluations and assess the effectiveness and relevance of training programs
  • Maintain accurate and updated training records, employee training profiles, certificates, and competency documentation
  • Prepare regular training reports, including attendance, completion rates, evaluation results, and other training metrics
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Education or any related field
  • Preferably with at least 5 years of experience in Training and Development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and facilitation abilities
  • Familiar with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and capable of identifying employee competency and development gaps
  • Knowledgeable in developing and implementing training programs, workshops, and employee development activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational, coordination, time-management, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prepare training materials, reports, attendance records, evaluation forms, and other training documentation.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of applicable DOLE, DOH, and other regulatory training requirements is an advantage.
