Job summary

Acquire Intelligence is seeking a Compliance Lead to oversee end-to-end regulatory, complaints management, and risk governance for the business. You will ensure adherence to Australian telecommunications laws and industry codes while safeguarding the company from regulatory and reputational risks.

You will drive a proactive compliance culture, support sustainable growth, and onboard/govern corporate accounts. Strong leadership and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Australian telecommunications regulations (ACMA, TIO, Privacy Act, TCP Code).
• Experience in risk governance and regulatory reporting.
• Leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance with legislation, codes, and standards (ACMA, TIO, TCP Code).
• Conduct regular audits and gap assessments across CS, Marketing, Tech, Sales.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance frameworks, policies, and controls.
• Maintain up-to-date regulatory registers and ensure processes align with obligations.
• Own risk assessment frameworks and mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
• Oversee compliance for new product launches (e.g., MVNO services) before go-live.
• Own end-to-end complaints management, including escalations for high-risk issues.
• Act as primary liaison with external dispute bodies (TIO, regulators).
• Design and deliver staff compliance training programs for all teams.
• Be the primary contact with regulators and industry bodies (ACMA, OAIC, TIO, ACCAN, Comms Alliance).
