About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join Vikings Group of Companies in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a team of servers whilst maintaining exceptional standards of service delivery. As Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless dining experiences for our guests whilst supervising and developing your team. This position is integral to our hospitality operations, bridging management objectives with frontline service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of servers, ensuring consistent adherence to service standards and company policies
• Train new and existing staff members on service protocols, menu knowledge, and customer service excellence
• Manage daily service operations, including station assignments, table allocations and service flow
• Ensure all servers maintain professional appearance, punctuality and conduct throughout service periods
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any service concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate records of service metrics, staff performance and incident reports
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely service delivery
• Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene standards in compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Support inventory management and cost control initiatives within the dining service area

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in food and beverage service, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader capacity
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of dining service protocols, etiquette and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and staff at all levels
• Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively during peak service periods
• Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage offerings, allergens and dietary requirements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications (preferred)
