Job summary

Bill Gosling Outsourcing is seeking a System Administrator to maintain and support our computer systems and servers. The role involves installing hardware/software, operating system management, and contributing to ongoing IT development to meet business needs.

You will resolve issues, ensure uptime, and support networking and security tools within our IBMi environment. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and at least 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post-Secondary education in a related IT field preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in a system administrator, programmer or programmer/analyst position in an IBMi environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the IT Support Department by working on IT Tickets related to Domain, Server, System and Back up Architecture.
• Monitor, Configure and Adjust system performance for physical/virtual hosts, processors, memory, data stores.
• Monitor system performance and activity for scaling and preventative maintenance to ensure system uptime.
• Troubleshoot computer, server and virtual system/software issues as required.
• Support network connectivity issues related to servers, network devices and other IT architecture.
