System Administrator (Server Infrastructure)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to manage and support enterprise server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, storage systems, databases, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in maintaining critical IT environments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise server infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
- Manage Windows and/or Linux server operating systems.
- Maintain and monitor virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Support storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Install, configure, and maintain databases and server applications.
- Perform system patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, storage, and OS-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and IT best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications.
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a System Administrator or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Server Hardware Administration
- Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems
- Database Administration and Support
- Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and performance management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Linux, or Storage Administration are an advantage.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Experience working in ITIL-based environments.
