Job summary

ams OSRAM is seeking a senior Quality Engineer with a strong semiconductor background to lead the 8D team for customer complaints and drive corrective actions. You will perform root-cause analysis, containment, and close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include reliability assessments, quality engineering of PCN-driven changes, and proactive quality improvements across field support.

Qualifications

• Degree / Master in Electronics, Physics, Chemistry or Materials Science.
• 8+ years in semiconductor manufacturing with focus on quality, reliability or failure analysis.
• Expert in 8D reporting, complaints handling, and leading task forces.
• Knowledge of automotive standards (AEC-Q100, AEC-Q102).
• Familiarity with quality tools including FMEA, IATF16949, VDA6.3, QS9000 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Customer Complaint Management, leading the 8D team and performing failure analysis with corrective actions.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Support crisis management for major customer excursions and align activities including EFA, PFA, RCAs and actions.
• Oversee reliability assessment for suspect materials.
• Coordinate quality engineering of process/product change qualifications and produce qualification reports.
• Collaborate with ams OSRAM internal teams to resolve field quality issues.
