Job summary

URBIO Led, a leading smart street lighting company, seeks an Area Sales Manager to drive growth in Spain. You will build new markets, engage municipalities and public authorities, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

The role is field-based with significant travel, offering a base salary plus uncapped commissions, a company car, travel allowance, and a laptop & phone. You will join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Enterprise B2B/B2G sales experience with a proven track record of growing sales and developing new markets.
• Direct experience selling to municipalities, public authorities, or through public procurement/tenders.
• Experience in street lighting, energy, Smart City, infrastructure, or electrical equipment industries.
• Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable with intensive field sales and frequent regional travel.
• Self-driven, resilient, and able to work independently.
• Fluent English; local language fluency for the territory is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop new markets and build sales pipelines from the ground up.
• Identify and acquire new customers through cold outreach, networking, and field sales.
• Visit municipalities, city councils, public institutions, contractors, and distributors in the region.
• Travel extensively within the territory to meet prospects and develop business opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
• Identify and qualify public tenders, working with the technical/pre-sales team on proposals.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional growth opportunities.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using the company CRM.
