The role requires 5+ years in platform engineering or systems administration, strong ServiceNow expertise, and a solid background in scripting (JavaScript, Python, Groovy) and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, systems administration, or related roles within enterprise environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and customisation.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM, IT operations, and IT service delivery modules.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy for platform automation and integration.
• Solid understanding of database management, API development, and system integration principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualisation technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop pragmatic solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
• Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow CIS, System Administrator, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code principles is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow platform solutions that support business requirements and objectives.
• Manage and optimise the ServiceNow platform infrastructure for high availability and security across global deployments.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.
• Perform platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance with minimal downtime.
• Monitor platform health and implement performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for platform operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and support teams.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and implement root-cause solutions.
• Ensure security, governance, and regulatory compliance across deployments.
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting
