Job summary

Satellite Office is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to run accurate, compliant payroll for 1,000+ employees across the U.S. and global locations.

You will work primarily in Workday with strong Workday experience, handling timekeeping, garnishments, and payroll tax rules while ensuring timely payments and data integrity. You will mentor teammates and contribute to Workday rollouts, optimization, and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state and international processing.
• Current Workday experience is a must.
• Advanced Excel skills: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax rules across federal, state, local, and pension contexts.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll across multiple states and global locations in Workday.
• Manage garnishments, wage verifications, and payroll compliance.
• Audit and reconcile PTO accruals, deductions, and balances.
• Ensure commissions, incentives, and bonuses are paid accurately and on time.
• Own the timekeeping system for hourly employees and run payroll reports.
• Support Workday configuration, testing, data validation, and implementation work.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to improve payroll accuracy and processes.
• Mentor teammates through system updates and process changes.
