Satellite Office is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage accurate, compliant payroll for 1,000+ employees across the U.S. and globally.

The role centers on Workday as the payroll system of record, with strong, current Workday experience essential. Responsibilities include processing payroll across multiple states and locations, managing garnishments, PTO accruals, and ensuring accurate bonuses.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state and international processing.
• Strong, current experience with Workday - this is a must-have for this role right now.
• Advanced Excel skills - VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax rules across federal, state, local, and pension contexts.
• Discretion in handling confidential data, and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll across multiple states and global locations in Workday
• Manage garnishments, wage verifications, and payroll compliance
• Audit and reconcile PTO accruals, deductions, and related balances
• Ensure commissions, incentives, and bonuses are paid accurately and on time
• Own the timekeeping system for hourly employees and run recurring/ad hoc payroll reports
• Support Workday configuration, testing, data validation, and implementation work
• Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to continuously improve payroll accuracy and process
• Mentor teammates through system updates and process changes
