Infinit-O is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage day-to-day payroll for bi-weekly and monthly cycles with emphasis on US payroll compliance. You will resolve complex issues, answer tax questions, and support month-end closes while collaborating with HR and Benefits teams.
The role includes helping transition international payroll operations to Workday and participating in system implementation projects. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all day-to-day Payroll processing for bi-weekly and monthly payroll, conducting payroll audits to ensure adherence to application policies and regulations
US payroll experience is required to effectively manage compliance and regulatory requirements
Resolve complex payroll processing & employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing
Answer payroll and tax related questions from employees
Ensure payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and all local regulations
Support Monthly and Quarterly close by reconciling payroll accounts
Review and analyze month/quarter end compensation accruals and expenses by region, state, franchise brand or restaurant
Review and implement process improvements for employee adherence to published T&E policies and audits
Maintenance and management of transactions related to 606 commissions
Collaborate with HR on employee hires, changes, and terminations
Collaborate with Benefits on payroll related deductions and benefit changes and updates
Collaborate with the team when needed to scale global payroll operations
Support payroll audits for execution of statutory and US GAAP financial statements
Assist in transitioning international payroll operations over to Workday and help with implementation processes.
Workday experience is preferred for supporting system transitions and implementation projects
Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance, CPA or CPP is a plus
Minimum of 2 years general accounting experience
Advanced PC and/or Mac book skills, specifically with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Google Docs and downloading, importing and exporting files and google suite
Knowledge of operational accounting processes
Knowledge of operational payroll processes
Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience is required
Strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively
Ability to collaborate & communicate effectively with internal partners on issues and provide recommendations
Possess excellent attention to detail; excellent analytical, and reconciliation skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
Strong problem solver, possessing the ability to see how the different pieces of the puzzle fit together
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
