Job summary

Satellite Office is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, primarily in Workday. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing for a global workforce, including garnishments, PTO, and bonuses, while supporting rollout and improvements of the Workday platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience across US states and international locations.
• Must have current, hands-on Workday experience.
• Experience using Workday as payroll system of record.
• Experience with Workday configuration, testing, data validation, or implementation.
• Experience in a global organization preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, controls, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data analysis).

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls for employees across multiple locations using Workday.
• Ensure payroll is accurate, complete, and on schedule with compliance requirements.
• Manage payroll activities related to garnishments, wage verifications, and payroll compliance.
• Audit and reconcile PTO accruals, deductions, and related balances.
• Ensure commissions, incentives, and bonuses are paid on time.
• Maintain timekeeping system for hourly employees and ensure data flows into payroll.
• Run and maintain recurring payroll reports and prepare ad hoc analyses.
• Review payroll data and perform reconciliations before/after processing.
• Support Workday configuration, testing, data validation, and implementation activities.
• Participate in Workday payroll rollout and system transformation.
• Help validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline procedures and strengthen controls.
• Mentor teammates through system updates and process changes.
• Serve as a payroll/Workday SME within the organization.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.
• Stay informed of payroll regulations across jurisdictions.
