Job summary

V.Group in Manila is seeking a seasoned professional to evaluate officer competencies through structured interviews and performance assessments within the Seafarer Recruitment and Promotion processes.

You will collaborate with Recruitment, Professional Development, Planning and HR to ensure fair decisions on selection, endorsements and promotions, and you will help develop and maintain interview guides and assessment standards.

Qualifications

• Holds rank of Chief Engineer COC.
• Experience in a senior shore-based management position.
• Experience in conducting seafarer interviews and promotion interviews.
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of VMS / Matrix requirements for vessel types and roles.

Responsibilities

• Undertakes structured competence assessment interviews as part of seafarer recruitment and promotion processes.
• Responsible for seafarer selection and endorsement decisions.
• Responsible for officer promotion decisions.
• Reviews, evaluates and finalises disputed seafarer performance appraisals.
• Develops and maintains assessment interview guides and supporting materials; ensures standards are updated.
