Job summary

First Focus is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Manila team, supporting a portfolio of US-based clients. You'll manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server and virtualization platforms across diverse environments, while mentoring teammates.

The role features a hybrid schedule (Mon–Fri, PST business hours) with a quarterly on-call rotation, a strong emphasis on automation via PowerShell, and opportunities for growth within a respected MSP.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Systems Engineering experience, ideally in an MSP environment.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Excellent networking knowledge covering firewalls, switching, routing, DNS and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud and networking issues across multiple client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure platforms.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure.
• Support enterprise networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs and DNS.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.
• Support Azure IaaS services including storage, backups, virtual desktops and application gateways.
• Develop PowerShell automation and improve operational efficiency.
• Act as a senior escalation point for technical teams and mentor Systems Administrators.
• Participate in technical consultations with clients, Solution Architects and internal stakeholders.
• Create technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge base articles.
• Continuously improve processes, automation and service delivery across the business.
