Job summary

First Focus AU is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Manila team, supporting a portfolio of US-based clients. You’ll work across diverse Microsoft environments, cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure, solving meaningful technical challenges that keep every day interesting.

Your schedule is Monday to Friday, supporting US PST hours. You’ll participate in a rotating on-call schedule roughly every three months, contributing to a collaborative, growth-focused engineering

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Systems Engineering experience, ideally MSP.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Excellent networking knowledge (firewalls, DNS, VPNs).
• Experience with Entra ID, Active Directory and identity management.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Backup tech experience (Veeam, Datto or similar).
• Mentoring and customer-focused communication.

Responsibilities

• Resolve advanced infrastructure, cloud and networking issues across client environments.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Azure.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V and virtualised infrastructure.
• Support enterprise networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPNs and DNS.
• Manage Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.
• Support Azure IaaS services including storage and virtual desktops.
• Develop PowerShell automation and improve operational efficiency.
• Act as senior escalation point and mentor Systems Administrators.
• Create technical documentation and SOPs.
• Improve processes, automation and service delivery.
