Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering required.
Minimum international seagoing experience required.
Experience in maritime training, shipping, crewing, or maritime sales/marketing is an advantage.
MAJOR FUNCTION AND DUTIES
A. Market Research and Business Development
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify new business opportunities and client prospects.
- Develop client outreach plans to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) for potential client engagements.
- Analyze market demand, industry benchmarks, and competitor pricing to forecast revenue potential.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive client and market database to support lead generation.
- Prepare detailed market analysis and reports to support management decisions and business strategy formulation.
B. Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Develop and recommend marketing strategies and plans aligned with business goals and revenue targets.
- Prepare and implement integrated marketing campaigns, including traditional and digital components.
- Create pricing analyses, positioning strategies, and promotional frameworks to improve competitiveness.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations within the industry.
- Stay informed of maritime training regulations, trends, and emerging technologies that may impact market opportunities.
C. Brand and Communication Development
- Coordinate with relevant departments to produce marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Support the development of client-facing presentations, proposals, and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the company website and digital presence reflect current market priorities.
D. Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with the Client Relations team to align market insights with revenue goals.
- Provide periodic marketing performance and market intelligence reports to management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Education:
- Bachelor of Marine Transportation or Marine Engineering or any related field.
Professional Experience:
- At least 2–3 years of experience in market research, strategic marketing, or business development.
- Preferably has acquired a MARINA-issued Certificate of Competency (COC). Candidates without officer-level experience may be considered, provided they possess sufficient maritime operational exposure and a sound understanding of the maritime industry and its regulatory environment or equivalent maritime operational experience.
