Job summary

Customer.io is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager of Information Technology to lead and scale internal tech operations for a globally distributed workforce. You will balance strategic planning with close hands-on work alongside your team to ensure reliability and security.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will oversee IT infrastructure, manage internal systems, and partner with Engineering, People, Legal and Finance to improve employee experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT with leadership experience.
• Hands-on leadership style with strategic impact.
• Experience in high-growth or distributed environments.
• Strong understanding of IT systems and SaaS tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day IT operations for a distributed workforce.
• Manage and develop a small IT team with hands-on support.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on onboarding, tooling, and security.
• Drive IT process improvements and identity/device management.
• Maintain compliance and security practices (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Establish SLAs, ticket workflows, and documentation.
