Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Senior Specialist in Business Insights & Analytics to partner with Commercial, Marketing and Omnichannel teams. You will translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape brand strategy, customer engagement, sales performance and overall business outcomes.

You will lead advanced analytics, dashboards, and collaborate with Data Science, IT and partners, while mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
5+ years in analytics or data analysis (regulated industry preferred).
Commercial, marketing, or sales support experience; pharma/healthcare a plus.
Advanced skills with Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI; Python/R knowledge is beneficial.
Working knowledge of AI and Generative AI technologies, including responsible use within a business environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze current and historical performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across brands, campaigns, customers, and channels.
Contribute to dashboard design and KPI reporting for brand performance, sales force effectiveness, and customer engagement.
Leverage advanced analytics outputs to enrich insights and recommendations, partnering with Data Science teams.
