Job summary

BPI Direct BanKo, Inc., a savings bank and subsidiary of the Bank of the Philippine Islands, is seeking a Credit Officer to ensure quality assessment and underwriting of loan applications and to oversee portfolio quality. You will guide lending policies and collaborate with compliance to ensure regulatory alignment.

The role may supervise a team of credit analysts, coordinate with branches, and lead the credit committee on approval levels. Field work is required (approx. 95% of the time).

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in business-related fields preferred.
• Minimum 5 years banking/microfinance experience; 3 years as credit analyst and 2 years in supervision.
• Familiarity with local branch communities and networks.
• Willing to conduct field work (~95% of the time).

Responsibilities

• Monitor the correct use of lending methodology.
• Supervise and guide loans assessed by credit analysts.
• Lead the credit committee as per lending policy approvals.
• Evaluate lending processes and policies for improvements.
• Analyze loan portfolio to measure results and support business goals.
• Plan monthly activities for assigned credit analysts.
• Conduct weekly/monthly meetings with branches to review files, validate information, and arrange client visits; provide feedback and prepare productivity reports.
