Job summary

The Credit Officer at BPI DIRECT BANKO,INC. A SAVINGS BANK is responsible for quality assessment and underwriting of loan applications, ensuring the overall good quality of the loan portfolio, and guiding staff on policy application.

This role collaborates with compliance to ensure lending practices meet local regulations, may supervise a team of credit analysts, and supports monthly planning and reporting for the commercial area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 4-year degree course, preferably in business-related disciplines (Finance / Management / Economics).
• Minimum of 5 years of banking or microfinance experience, including 3 years as a credit analyst.
• At least 2 years of team supervision experience.
• Familiarity with the local branch community, main markets and networks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor correct use of lending methodology.
• Supervise and guide loans assessed by credit analysts.
• Lead credit committee when needed according to lending policies.
• Evaluate and improve underwriting, administration, and recovery processes.
• Analyze loan portfolio to measure results and support business goals.
• Plan monthly activities for assigned credit analysts.
• Hold weekly and monthly meetings with branches to review and validate loan files.
